THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
In response to demand for a more open and contemporary look for homes at Fox Run, the community’s creative team redesigned select apartment homes.
Five new floor plans
“We have five new floor plans for people to see and choose from,” says Fox Run’s Custom Interiors Coordinator Deanna Dau. In addition, they remodeled apartment home models to showcase the changes.
Besides painting, Dau and fellow Custom Interiors Coordinator Barbara Cooper have had walls removed and flooring replaced, and they purchased new furniture. Other improvements include new custom blinds, window treatments, lighting fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, and crown molding.
“We have also put in a closet organization system to show what people can do with their space,” Dau says.
In one home model, the counters were upgraded to Corian with an undermount sink, upgraded pull-out faucet, upgraded light fixture, and custom paint colors.
The duo also opened up the galley kitchen, creating access to the home’s den through the kitchen.
“We also put in a pantry and custom designed the side wall in the den with a desk unit and shelving,” Cooper says. “The flooring in the kitchen and den is upgraded vinyl that looks like [and is more scratch resistant than] real wood. This flooring has been extremely popular since we introduced it.”
Soon open to public
Soon, the remodeled homes will be available for people to tour and see what they could do if they decide to move to Fox Run.
For residents already living at the community, the new models serve as examples of the many possibilities they can choose from if they decide to update their current homes. Design specialists Dau and Cooper help people create unique décor that reflects their individual tastes and sense of style.
