THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Though the housing market may appear to be grim, one community in Oakland County is defying the status quo by continuing to grow and expand.
Fox Run, in Novi, recently began construction on its latest residence building, Hudson Park, which features more than 80 apartment homes and 7 new floor plans.
Popular homes going fast
“It’s pretty amazing that Fox Run has experienced such rapid sales success in the toughest real estate market around,” says Executive Director Mike McCormick.
Many people on Fox Run’s Priority List (people who plan on moving there and have paid a refundable $1,000 deposit and $150-perperson non-refundable application fee) have already staked their claims at the new Hudson Park building.
“Recently we announced to our Priority List members that there are only about 30 apartment homes left in the new building,” says Sales Director Fred Moschetta.
Secrets for success
“With the professional services we offer, including those provided by Personal Moving Consultant Mary Wolfe, we are selling homes,” Moschetta says. “More homes have sold in the first quarter of 2008 compared to one year ago.”
Wolfe is a licensed Realtor, as well as a certified property staging consultant. “Mary Wolfe, along with Erickson Realty & Moving Services (a new division of Erickson Retirement Communities that combines all the aspects of selling a house with all those of moving) are meeting those demands and working with the finest local Realtors to sell in today’s market,” Moschetta adds.
Sharon Baksa, director of Erickson Realty & Moving Services, works in tandem with Wolfe. Baksa thinks of innovative ways to help people, especially older adults in the area, sell their houses faster and move more easily to their new homes.
