People just love it! They rave about it, crave it, and ask for the recipe when it’s served during our special Open House tours. It’s Aunt Lottie’s sensational apple cake.
Ever since it first made its appearance, this delicious pastry has been a runaway favorite with guests taking our tours of fabulous Fountain Pointe. And no wonder! It is a rich blending of apples, nuts, and just the right touch of cinnamon which adds up to a tempting taste treat.
Well, my friends, we won’t keep you waiting for the recipe any longer. Get out your apron and your baking pan, because here it is!
Aunt Lottie’s Apple Cake
1 cup oil
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 egg white
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 t baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
6 apples (peeled and sliced thin)
1 cup chopped nuts
Mix all ingredients until well blended. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Enjoy!
