Retirement plans can make or break the bank

“I have found that, dollar for dollar, I’m really getting good value. The thing that matters most to me is the future—it’s secure. And my children will benefit from the returnable fee,” says Frances Prior, who moved from Birmingham to Fox Run in Novi. Prior has a point.
Those who have moved to Fox Run no longer have to worry about maintaining their homes and rising utility or tax bills. They need only pay two bills per month— one for their monthly service package, and one for their phone bill.
Most retirees have saved up a nest egg they want to protect. Fox Run offers a 100% refundable entrance deposit that guarantees the money’s safe return if residents decide someday to move.
For those who would like to move, but aren’t quite ready to sell their house, Fox Run offers a Flexible Pricing Program. This gives retirees the option of making a smaller initial investment to secure their new home, with a slightly higher fee.
For each $5,000 increment that the 100% refundable entrance deposit is reduced, the monthly service package will only increase by $33. In some cases, the entrance deposit can be as low as $6,000—with all of the perks on campus, such as one meal a day, all utilities (excluding phone), local planned transportation, use of the community’s services and amenities, and access to the state-of-the-art Erickson HealthSM network, included.
Gas pump prices optional
If saving money on gas and time spent driving sounds appealing, Fox Run is the place to be.
“We have a library, church services, and all kinds of activities to take part in—from happy hours to cards to movies,” says Barbara Birmingham, who moved from Livonia with her husband Roy.
The campus also features a 24-hour fitness center, convenience market, bank branch and ATM, and allseason swimming pool.
