A recent announcement at the Novi community of Fox Run has created quite a stir. Ever since Retirement Counselor Carolyn Ives explained that construction had ended at Fox Run, even more appealing apartment homes have been taken off the market.
According to Ives, anxious buyers called from their winter homes to reserve their new Fox Run homes over the phone. “They didn’t want to miss out on their last chance to move to Fox Run,” she says.
Why people hesitate
There are many reasons why some people may be waiting until they decide the time is right for them.
“People struggle with any change, it is a fear of the unknown,” says Ives. “They are comfortable in their homes. They think they have everything they need, but no one can predict the future and what other needs may arise. Fox Run anticipates the unknowns and is prepared to help our community with them.
Health: State-of-the-art
Health is an important consideration for many people. Fox Run’s state-of-the-art medical center, fitness center, and all-season swimming pool have definitely made it easier for community members to keep fit and healthy.
Take Chuck Goebel, who moved to Fox Run from Bloomfield Township with his wife Jeannine. Before he moved, he wasn’t exercising at all.
“For the first time, I’m doing some exercise,” Goebel says. “My wife swims every morning. It was her stipulation that we move somewhere that had a swimming pool. We looked at other communities, and Fox Run was our choice.”
“Many people wait too long and struggle more when a need arises,” Ives says.
She reminds people that they don’t need to wait for a medical emergency before deciding to move to Fox Run. “You’ll be surrounded by more than 100 clubs, fun activities, and dynamic people who will help keep you vibrant and healthy longer,” she says.
