THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Fox Run’s Fitness and Aquatics Centers are happening places. There are classes offered for everyone. Just ask Phyllis Praski, who moved to Fox Run from Warren. “I come here at least twice a week,” says Phyllis. “I was having problems with my knees. Now, they’re stronger.”
Classes abound to get you moving
There are a variety of classes offered, including Total Toning; Stretch and Tone; Balance; Water Aerobics, and Exercise for Movement sessions. Individual, one-on-one personal training is also available for all those who want it.
State-of-the-art equipment helps you stay in shape
A wide variety of fitness machinery is available at the center, including four step machines, three stationary bikes, five treadmills, a rack of free weights, air-pressurized workout gear, and a grand swimming pool which is open year-round.
Outside, there are nature trails perfect for walking in good weather, as well as climate- controlled walkways indoors, connecting all the buildings on campus. Phyllis, a former occupational therapist, takes full advantage of all her center has to offer. “I feel great,” she says.
Phyllis works closely with Tony Logan II, the wellness coordinator at the Novi community. “He’s wonderful. If I have a question, he’ll show me what I need to know.”
Hard work generates results
“I’ve lost 20 pounds,” says Phyllis. “My tone and posture have improved 100 fold, and I look and feel ten years younger.”
“It’s a great opportunity,” says Tony. “It’s right here at your fingertips. Everyone I’ve worked with so far has improved. I’ve yet to see someone that has not improved. Everyone here is really open to new ideas.”
The Fitness and Aquatics Centers are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are fully staffed during normal business hours, so there is no excuse to put off finding the ‘right time’ for working out.
