Renaissance Gardens to open mid-2007

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE

Imagine this. You have moved to Fox Run, and are enjoying all its amenities while living independently in your comfortable apartment home. Health issues may arise along the way, but the people at Fox Run’s Home Health Services help you deal with them in the comfort of your home.

Then, one day you have surgery and need more care while you recover, more care than can be provided in your apartment home. If you were living in a house or condo, you would have to look for such care elsewhere.

A full continuum of care
Beginning in mid-2007, a full continuum of care will be available including skilled nursing, assisted living, and short-term rehabilitation (occupational, physical, and speech therapy) when Fox Run opens its Renaissance Gardens neighborhood.

Personalized to meet individual needs
“Too often, people requiring assisted living or skilled nursing services are institutionalized, and must live according to a schedule set by the facility. Erickson Communities, Fox Run’s developer, believes in a culture that focuses on each individual’s personality and how they wish to live each day; and that philosophy should prevail throughout the campus. Therefore, Renaissance Gardens is simply an extension of the wonderful lifestyle people have come to enjoy at Fox Run,” says Jean.

“Renaissance Gardens will have 132 private rooms, with 88 devoted to Skilled Nursing Care and 44 to Assisted Living. It will have a state-of-the-art electronic medical records system, and it will offer a full therapy component, including a therapy gym. The architecture of the building supports Erickson’s person-centered approach with private rooms, smaller and more private living rooms, and sensory features like gardens that bring the outdoors into the interior living space,” Jean continues.

Renaissance Gardens will feel like home
“Renaissance Gardens will employ a household model, another example of innovation in senior housing developed by Erickson Communities. Each of the building’s three floors will contain two households of 22 community members who will benefit from a high level of personalized service from staff members who have multiple talents, such as certified nursing, safe dining skills, and housekeeping. Unlike the traditional care facility, Renaissance Gardens will feel like home,” Jean says further.

“Besides being available to people already living at Fox Run, Renaissance Gardens will welcome those requiring short-term rehabilitation. They will experience the same Fox Run lifestyle they could enjoy if they moved to the community once their recuperation was complete,” says Jean.

People who move to the community in the future will continue to live fulfilling and meaningful lives, whether they are in their apartment homes or in Renaissance Gardens,” Jean concludes.
