Do Not Wait, You Will Miss Out!

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
“We got tired of cutting the grass, so we hired someone to do it. Then we got tired of shoveling snow, so we hired someone else to do that. Finally, my wife, Gretchen, and I decided it was time to think about moving to a place where we wouldn’t have to worry about things like that anymore,” says Dick Kienman, who moved to Fox Run from Farmington Hills.
Perfect Timing
It was four years ago, when Dick and Gretchen first visited Fox Run during its pre-opening days. “It took a few visits before we finally decided to move here. And we’d do it only if there was a Lancaster design available.”
The Lancaster is a deluxe corner location two bedroom home with two baths, and had been sold out on-campus for months, just like 16 other floor plans at Fox Run.
Meanwhile, Dick and Gretchen got busy right-sizing for their new lifestyle, and getting their house ready for sale.
From time to time, Carolyn Ives, retirement counselor at Fox Run, called to see how their plans were progressing. “Each time she called, we simply were not ready to move,” says Dick.
Then Wood Bridge, Fox Run’s last residence building, was under construction, and the last of the Lancasterswould finally be available.
“We’d drive by every Sunday to check on its progress. We even decided exactly which Lancaster we wanted.
“Then, one day last spring, Carolyn called to say when our home would be ready, and the rest is history. We moved in on August 18th,” Dick concludes.
Urgency Required
“We started to find out more about Fox Run a year ago. My wife, Ruth, and I knew there’d come a time when we’d want to do away with the responsibilities of our house, and begin enjoying the amenities that Fox Run offers,” says George Fulkerson, who moved to Fox Run with his wife Ruth in August from Bloomfield Township.
