With gasoline over $3.00 a gallon and road congestion everywhere you drive, the importance of inexpensive and dependable transportation has taken on heightened importance.

This is certainly the case at Fox Run, where going to places off-campus has never been easier, more convenient, and you save money, and wear and tear on your car.

Leave the Driving to Us

People living at Fox Run have their choice of complementary, regularly scheduled transportation off-campus. For example, on various days of the week, people are off to 12 Oaks Mall, Novi Public Library, Target, Laurel Park Mall, CVS, and Meijers.

Once each month, folks  can even go to the Secretary of State’s office, free of charge. People have ample time to shop, check out a few books, or do their business, before being picked up to return to Fox Run.

Community members regularly attend performances of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Detroit Opera. And at least once each month, folks head off to local casinos to try their luck with the slot machines or at the “21” tables. Then, almost magically, the Fox Run shuttles reappear and whisk them home after a wonderful day of entertainment.

“Then there are the special trips our folks also enjoy. Last month, we drove a busload of people to see the Detroit Tigers play the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Field. We offered a package deal including their ticket, lunch, and transportation to and from Fox Run,” says Neal Jacobi, transportation supervisor at Fox Run. “It was a big hit.”

For people interested in attending worship services off-campus each Sunday, there is complementary transportation to  and from Fox Run to Novi Methodist Church and to Holy Family Catholic Church.

Pure Convenience

In addition to providing complementary transportation to community members, Fox Run is on-call daily from 9 to 5 to shuttle people virtually anywhere they might want to go.

Whether for a trip to an off-campus doctor, or to a restaurant for lunch with friends, people at Fox Run simply make a reservation and they are assured of transportation to and from campus.

“We ask people to give us 24-hour notice, but most of the time, we can accommodate their requests immediately,” says Neal.
