THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Come December, we all fall under the spell of the holidays. Whether we celebrate the 12 days of Christmas or the eight days of Hanukkah, holidays are times when we should be concentrating on friends and family.
Yet with our busy lives, finding time for the important people is easier said than done. More often than not, we find ourselves dashing through the day, sitting in traffic, waiting for a repairperson, or arranging for a house sitter when we should be dancing with the grandchildren.
However, when Eagle’s Trace opened in the fall last year, hundreds of new residents found there was a way to have their figgy pudding and enjoy the season, too.
Over the river and through the woods
If the holidays are spent far and away, individuals who live at Eagle’s Trace just make travel plans, and go. It’s that easy.
There’s no worry about the newspapers on the front lawn. No problem with the house looking empty or the mail piling up. The highly trained security staff is on duty 24/7.
Coming home’s easy, too. Just a wave at the guard on the way in. You don’t even have to worry with stocking the refrigerator. Just pop in to the Eagle’s Roost Café for a meal.
“When we were gone for the month of September, it was wonderful coming back,” says Gail Holter, who was among Eagle’s Trace’s first residents. “All the staff said, ‘Welcome home. We’ve missed you.’ It was so welcoming and wonderful to be back here.”
Getting ready is easier, too
Built-in conveniences at Eagle’s Trace make getting ready for the holidays easier, too.
When it comes to shopping, residents can use free, scheduled transportation for a regular, weekly visit to Memorial City Mall.
No hassle finding a parking spot. No worry about long, unescorted trips to the car and wondering who’s watching you stash your packages in the trunk. Imagine how what a delightful shopping trip that would be.
