Looking for a place to unwind, play a game of cards with friends, or catch your favorite sports team on television? If you lived at Oak Crest then you could drop in to their newest dining venue, The Acorn.

Open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., this relaxing bistrostyle restaurant located in Oak Crest’s Crestview Station clubhouse features a full service bar including draft beer, cocktails, wine, soft drinks, and more.

“I love it!” says patron Ruth Martin. “It’s a wonderful addition to the community. The atmosphere is very friendly, the food is excellent, and the service is great!”

The fifth restaurant on Oak Crest’s 87-acre campus, The Acorn is the perfect place to enjoy a Ravens or Orioles game on the big screen plasma televisions and even get in on the action yourself with a friendly billiards or poker game.

“We hired a local designer to layout and design the space,” says Jennifer Barbieri, General Services Project Manager at Oak Crest.

“We wanted The Acorn to have a country club atmosphere and we wanted to continue the design and color scheme that was throughout the Crestview Station clubhouse. I really think people enjoy how diverse the space is,” says Jennifer. “You can eat a meal, relax with friends, watch the televisions, play cards, or billiards, all with out having to leave Oak Crest.”

A place where everybody knows your name
“It’s a great place to meet friends and have lunch,” says Ruth. “There are often people playing cards, pool, and Mahjong, and it’s also a great place to meet for an after dinner cocktail,” she says.

Aside from all the action, The Acorn features an eclectic menu with favorites like crab dip, chicken quesadillas, hot Panini sandwiches, submarines, cheesecake, ice cream floats, and gourmet coffee drinks.

Howard Lanham of Oak Crest frequents The Acorn usually three times a week. “They’ve got a wonderful selection of soups--cream of crab, Maryland crab, chili, oyster stew. They also have a great Reuben sandwich and I hear the salads and wraps are good too,” says Howard.

Something to satisfy every taste
The dining options at Oak Crest don’t end with The Acorn. Oak Crest boasts four more outstanding restaurants as well. Windows restaurant features two walls of floor to ceiling windows and offers a nightly buffet. Every evening you have your choice of entrees like carved roast beef, or chicken and dumplings. The Fireside starts off every week with a bountiful Sunday brunch and also offers mouth-watering menu items the rest of the week. The Oak Room offers courteous table service and continental cuisine in a quiet, distinguished setting overlooking the courtyard. Stop in the Banners Café for a freshly brewed cup of coffee, home-baked muffins or deli-style sandwiches with a great view of Lake Victoria. And with tasty bistro-style food and a fully stocked bar, The Acorn is a fun dining alternative.

You can also reserve a private dining room, for your own private event for family and friends. For a more informal dining experience, you can try any of the delicious salads or sandwiches to-go from the Marketplace store. Whichever you choose, get ready for an outstanding culinary adventure!
