After a recent boom in new home construction, the housing market is beginning to level out, raising existinghome sales up and sliding new-home sales down.

In fact, the latest forecast by the National Association of Realtors reports “new home construction will be dampened until inventories decline further.”

Construction ends this year
As planned, Cedar Crest in Pompton Plains is following this trend as construction ends this year. Demand has already started to spike in response to the community’s announcement in fall of 2006, and is expected to keep growing as availability of Cedar Crest homes decreases.
