Cedar Crest recently announced that it will soon have a new clubhouse with a range of important amenities. Woodland Commons, as the new clubhouse will be called, should be open by the fall of 2006.

“For those who already live at Cedar Crest, Woodland Commons is going to be another  wonderful place to meet and socialize with neighbors, participate in clubs and activities, and eat at their choice of two more restaurants,” says Ray Guarino, Cedar Crest’s director of marketing.

“For those who are thinking about moving here, it’s another great reason to come in and see Cedar Crest now,” Ray adds. “Actually several more great reasons when you consider all the new amenities.”

Restaurants Four & Five

The Woodland Commons Clubhouse is being built in a private corner of the Cedar Crest campus, nestled around a nature preserve. With an elegant first-floor lobby and second-floor lounge featuring overhead skylights, the clubhouse will feature two new restaurants, bringing the total number of restaurant choices at Cedar Crest to five.

The two new Woodland Commons restaurants are:

  • The Overlook: This casual yet tastefully appointed restaurant offers seated, waited dining and a range of delicious entrées to choose from for dinner.
  • The Seasons Grille: This also has wait service, but in a more informal, bistro-type atmosphere. Here you can grab a bite and beverage, and perhaps catch a big game or the daily news on TV. Or, you can shoot a little pool in the adjoining billiards room.

Other Amenities

In addition to the two restaurants, Woodland Commons will also feature:

  • A Salon and Day Spa, which offers manicures, pedicures, and massages in addition to cuts and hairstyles
  • A Conference Center for meetings, classes, and seminars
  • Plus Cedar Crest’s second bank branch, its third creative arts studio, its third music room/ classroom, and of course, a card room

Woodland Commons will also be a short stroll along outdoor paths orthrough indoor, climate controlled walkways to  Cedar Crest’s new 356-seat, interfaith Worship Center, which is scheduled to open in the fall as well.

Close to the Clubhouse

In addition to the Woodland Commons Clubhouse, two new buildings,  Walden Place and Arbor View, will also open in the fall. Both buildings will be directly connected to the clubhouse through climate-controlled walkways.

“These are the last two buildings at Cedar Crest that will ever be directly connected to a clubhouse,” says Ray. “With all the amenities of Woodland Commons just a short walk away, experience tells us that homes in these buildings will sell very quickly.”

Advance reservations are already being accepted for Walden Place and Arbor View, and the few homes remaining elsewhere at Cedar Crest are selling quickly.

“Currently, Cedar Crest is more than 92% sold out,” says Ray. “By the time Woodland Commons  opens, I expect the rest of the campus will be virtually sold out, and a large portion  of the two new buildings will also be spoken for. That’s why I advise anyone who’s interested in living here to call for an appointment now.”

Take a Tour

When you call for an appointment, you will meet with Helen Waldrop or Lisa Schubert, Cedar Crest’s two retirement counselors. (A second retirement counselor was recently added to meet the growing demand for Cedar Crest homes.)

Helen or Lisa will give you a tour of the campus, show you a selection of model homes, and help you determine the design that best fits your lifestyle. They will also discuss availability and explain how the process of reserving a home works.

There is no pressure, but it makes sense to give Helen or Lisa a call right  away. “The most popular homes and locations are selling out fast,” says Ray. “Now is the best time to reserve at Cedar Crest.”

To arrange your personal appointment with Helen or Lisa, call now at 973-839-9377 or toll-free at 1-800-301-8722. If the line is busy, please be patient and continue to call. Our phones have been ringing off the hook since the announcement of Cedar Crest’s final clubhouse.  Call today!
