This year’s Brooksby Follies variety show featured the 1960 hit, “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.” About 50 people from the Brooksby community were involved in putting on the show of musical skits. “They were very, very, very dedicated workers, every one of them,” says Joanne Averay, who lives at Brooksby and was the show’s producer and director. “It was fabulous.” Many of the performers took their show on the road to sister cxommunity Linden Ponds, where they filled the theater and received a standing ovation.
