One of many clubs and classes offered at Brooksby

Most people have trouble finding the time to squeeze some exercise in between family and work. But for some of the people at Brooksby, fitting in a workout has just become a lot easier with a lunch time Pilates class right down the hall.
Sharon Graves, Aquatics Coordinator at Brooksby, has 16 years experience in the Fitness Business. Every Friday at noon she offers a Pilates class for people who work at Brooksby. She also teaches Pilates to a number of people who live at Brooksby as well. The class is supported by the Erickson HealthSM system, the nation’s largest integrated health and wellness system for people over the age of 62.
Tim and Liz Wallace live at Brooksby and are enjoying their workout. “I take a number of classes at Brooksby and I enjoy each and every one,” said Liz. “Pilates is one of my favorites and I have noticed a definite improvement in myself since I moved to Brooksby and began working out faithfully.”
The benefits from Pilates are real and include improved abdominal strength, stronger back muscles, core stabilization, increased trunk control and postural awareness, increased flexibility, and decreased muscle imbalances.
