PEABODY, MA – People who live and work at Brooksby Village were busy the past year helping each other and many local and national organizations.

“2006 was a year of giving,” said Jim Wingardner, executive director at Brooksby Village. “People who live and work at Brooksby Village raised thousands of dollars for many local organizations. We hope to help many others in 2007.”

Lopez, service coach, traveled to El Salvador with a number of others to help after a year of hurricanes, mudslides, a volcano, and an earthquake

This fall, hundreds of people who live and work at Brooksby Village also participated in fifth annual Turkey Trot at the Peabody campus. Those who signed up walked a mile around the campus and helped to raise money for the purchase of turkeys for the Haven From Hunger, a local food pantry. Through their efforts, 100 turkeys were also delivered to the Haven From Hunger, and Brooksby Village was also able to donate more than $1,000 and cases full of canned goods.
