Newsbrief: Residents collectively spent more than 14,000 hours volunteering in 2006

PEABODY, MA – More than 600 volunteers who live at Brooksby Village collectively spent more than 14,000 hours in 2006 helping others. “Many people who live at Brooksby Village helped out over 100 different organizations within Brooksby Village and the North Shore last year,” said Tom Cook, volunteer program coordinator, Brooksby Village. “Our volunteers worked with the Progeria Research Foundation, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Habitat for Humanity, North Shore Community Action Programs, Inc., and Special Olympics Massachusetts, just to name a few.” Many who live at Brooksby Village also volunteered to help a number of groups and events on campus.
