PEABODY, MA – Over 30 people who live and work at Brooksby Village in Peabody, Mass., and Linden Ponds in Hingham, Mass., came together on Sunday, October 1 to walk in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk ‘06. Their efforts raised a total of $13,000. Brooksby Village and Linden Ponds raised a combined $5,400 and Erickson Retirement Communities donated $7,500 as a platinum-level sponsor of the event.

“People who work at Brooksby Village walked last year and we raised over $3,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association,” said Alison Fialho, rehabilitation manager at Brooksby Village. “By joining with Linden Ponds this year, we were able to raise even more money and meet some wonderful people.”

“This was a wonderful event and we were thrilled to come together with Brooksby Village to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association,” said Chris Beukman, pastoral ministries manager at Linden Ponds. “During the walk, we carried a ‘Team Erickson’ banner that had the names of both campuses on it. We also had volunteers who gave out water to the walkers.”

The group participated in the walk at Canal Park at the Cambridge Side Galleria in Cambridge, Mass.
