People often ask about the services we offer at Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village. Here are some of the most common questions about Long-Term Nursing Care, which is extended treatment for conditions that may be chronic or subject to sudden change, and is supervised by medical personnel, including 24-hour on-duty licensed nurses.
Q. I’ve heard that if I’m not a resident at Brooksby Village, I can’t move to Renaissance Gardens. Is that true?
A. No. We welcome people from Brooksby Village and from the surrounding area.
Q. What if my husband needs a doctor during his Long-Term Nursing Care? Do we have to travel off-site?
A. In addition to our full-time, on-site nurse practitioners, nurses aides, and our 24-hour on-duty licensed nurses, we have Erickson HealthSM primary care physicians, a 24-hour on-call physician, and consulting specialists. So your husband can get all the expert care he needs without facing the challenges of traveling.
Q. What happens if my mother’s health improves? Does she stay in Long-Term Nursing Care?
A. If our doctors feel that your mother’s health has improved sufficiently, she can certainly move to one of our Assisted Care residences in Renaissance Gardens or even to an apartment in one of our independent living neighborhoods (pending availability).
Q. I would love to be able to have a private room, but how can I afford it?
A. At Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village, all rooms are private and all are billed at rates other providers charge for semi-private rooms. And visitors are welcome at all times, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
