By Robert Doherty THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
It’s September, the dog days of summer are almost behind us. And before you know it, New Englanders will be with dealing the snow and ice that always comes with winter. But for some it doesn’t matter, because they have just made a thoughtful decision. A decision to move to Brooksby Village before the winter of 2006.
Now is the Time
By taking action now, you can be living the Brooksby lifestyle before the england winter hits—a lifestyle where you’re encouraged and inspired to try new things, where your best friends are also your neighbors, and where you can laugh at winter’s fury.
Making Winter Enjoyable
Many city and suburban residents have had it with the brutal aspects of winter in England. They would just as soon say goodbye to snow shoveling, windshield scraping, driveway plowing, and sidewalk salting. And because saw a relatively mild winter last year, most agree that the coming 2006 winter may be ferocious.
Thousands of people are discovering a way to stay warm, dry, and comfortable all winter long, right here in their own backyard, at Brooksby Village. "of the things i keep hearing from people is how much they appreciate the weatherproof design of our communities," says Retirement counselor Marisa Tazzini.
"They are excited about the prospect of being able to go anywhere and have access to everything they need under one roof, even on the worst of days," she says.
Everything Within Reach
Whether you want to swim, enjoy a fitness class, get to a doctor’s appointment or just pick up milk and bread, even the little things can be difficult or impossible when winter blows in. climate-controlled walkways will take you from your front door to a world-class clubhouse, complete with a Fitness center, all-season swimming pool, Medical and convenience stores. | |

Freedom To Do It All
With all the freedom from no longer having to do those mundane winter chores, you may want to take advantage of the new opportunities that await you at Brooksby. Take a college course, attend a painting class in the creative arts studio or build a toy chest for the grandkids in the woodwork and hobby shop. And days you’re feeling less ambitious, just relax with your friends over a game of cards or a cup of coffee—it’s all just a few steps from your front door.
Leave the Driving to Us
The maintenance crews are always on the job, making sure paved walkways, driveways and outdoor parking spots are free of snow and ice.
And on days you don’t want to get behind the wheel, Brooksby offers scheduled transportation to a number of area destinations.
"But if you do want a winter getaway," says Marisa, "Brooksby makes it easy to enjoy your vacation without worry. Rest assured that your mail will be picked up, and your home and car will be protected.
