New TV Game Show Creates a Buzz

The people who live at Brooksby Village never stop having fun and are always ready to pursue new opportunities. Recently they created, and are now producing their own TV game show—and it’s a big hit.

Game shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are continually at the top of Nielson TV ratings, so it’s no wonder that the people who live at Brooksby have added a game show to their list of ten shows that they create, produce, and direct at TV 9.

Recently, those who are involved with Brooksby’s on-site TV studio, TV 9, thought it was an appropriate time to create and produce their own game show.

The show is called Whaddya Know?!, and unlike other game shows, it has no categories.

Head to Head
The format is this: Two teams of three people are contestants on the show. There are four rounds of questions. If a team gets an answer wrong, the opposing team gets a chance to answer the question and steal those points.

"The show was suggested by Francis Fisher about two and half years ago, before our TV studio even opened," says Sarah MacLean, Brooksby’s lead community TV coordinator.

Host With the Most
When it was time to pick a host for the show, it was an easy choice. "Everybody suggested John Murphy to host the show," says sarah. "He has charisma, and he’s done an awesome job. And I'm sure if someone else wants to host, he’ll give them an opportunity."

"It’s been delightful hosting the show," says John. "I have a wonderful cast around me. It makes it very easy to be the host because of the great level of support," John adds.

A second episode of Whaddya Know?! was recently taped and it has become so popular, there are t-shirts being made promoting the show. "We have plans to continue. I walk down the hall and people stop me and say, I’ve done a wonderful job," adds John.
