Hundreds of people who live and work at Brooksby Village had the opportunity to hear firsthand stories of what some nonprofit organizations are doing and how they can help. “To celebrate National Volunteer Week we had a number of organizations come to Brooksby to share their stories,” says Thomas Cook, volunteer program coordinator at Brooksby.
“These organizations know the generosity of the people who live and work at Brooksby. This was a great forum for these nonprofit organizations to get the attention of people who have a long track record of donating their time and money,” says Thomas.
The organizations in attendance included: Haven from Hunger, American Red Ccross, Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International, and the Special Olympics.
