Quin Bersani Heading to Salem to Finish What He Started

Quin Bersani
is a busy man. He helps run the Thursday night movies at Brooksby Village; he’s in a group that brings in outside speakers and lecturers; he runs the Wednesday night poker group; and he greets new neighbors at Brooksby. But he always makes time for his volunteer work, particularly the volunteer work he does with Habitat for Humanity.
Marshfield House
"Before we moved to Brooksby we lived in Marshfield and Habitat for Humanity built a few houses there. one of the houses happened to be on the end of the street where we lived. I would go down every Saturday from the time it started to the time it was finished. That’s how I got involved," says Quin.
Quin was there when Habitat for Humanity presented the house in Marshfield to the family. After being a part of it, he was hooked. " I spent so much time there, some of the children of the family moving in the house started calling me grandpa," adds Quin.
So when Quin and his wife moved to Brooksby over four years ago, he knew he would have more time to do the things he wanted to do, and that of course included volunteering for Habitat.
Several Volunteers
Quin and a few others including resident Herb Stahl along with Brooksby staff members like Thomas Cook, Alison Fialho, Erin Warner, and Elise Bernstein will be heading back to a house in Ssalem that they have already worked on. “The people here at Brooksby are so generous with their time and money to support important causes,” says Thomas Cook, volunteer coordinator at Brooksby. “I'm proud to be part of this group.”
