Over 50 People Attending Salem State College Course at Brooksby Village

Explorers Lifelong Learning institute of Salem State College is offering courses at Brooksby Village, and over 50 people have been attending the weekly series.
The courses, offered to people age 50 or better and taught by retired educators, is titled People in the Arts and discusses the life and accomplishments of selected people. Recent discussions included artist Norman Rockwell and the history of jazz musicians from Scott Joplin to Big Band artists.
"We are thrilled with the response," says Mary Landry, community resources coordinator at Brooksby. "People who live at Brooksby responded with enthusiasm about attending this lecture series. It has been so well received that there is now a waiting- list to get into the class."
