No matter what time of year it is, the people who live at Brooksby will be playing bocce and having a great time. "A year ago asked a group of people that just met if they play bocce. some did, and some didn’t. We decided to start playing bocce on the grass outside in the courtyard. Now, we play every Thursday and Friday," says Marty Grasso, who lives at Brooksby Village.

But when new england started to turn cold, this group of bocce enthusiasts was determined to keep playing. "We played all last spring, summer, and fall outside. We missed playing once it got too cold. Tony Grande and i went to check out some indoor bocce courts, and then bought the appropriate materials and made an indoor bocce court in the woodwork and hobby shop right here at Brooksby," says Marty.
Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon all winter long, a number of men and women gathered indoors to play bocce on the indoor bocce court. And last month, the games went back outside on Thursdays and Fridays. "Indoors or out, we have a great time," says Marty.
