Looking for a little flare at the dinner table? If so, explore the newest restaurant on campus, where they just put zest back on the menu.
The Overlook Restaurant is one of the only “exhibition-style” dining experience on the North Shore. The kitchen is set up so you can witness the exciting moments while the chefs prepare your delicious meal. A counter of six to eight seats runs along the front of the kitchen so that you can see the talented chefs at work.
Restaurants all across the country are featuring exhibition-style dining, and Brooksby is no exception. “I think dining should be theater,” says Paul Coco, Director of Dining Services at Brooksby. “I want diners to hear juicy steaks sizzling on a flaming grill, to see our chefs stir-frying colorful vegetables, to smell the aroma of marinara sauce wafting through the air.”
The Overlook serves a cornucopia of succulent dishes, including but not limited to shrimp scampi, grilled salmon, petit filet mignon, pasta dishes, and stir-fry.
In addition to fantastic foods, the Overlook offers an expanded selection of wines. The restaurant features a state-of-the-art Cruvinet wine service, a preserving and dispensing system used by wine experts throughout the world. The Cruvinet system has revolutionized wine-by-the-glass service by keeping wine as fresh as the moment it was uncorked for up to six weeks. The beautiful wine display and service area has custom millwork to match the dining room, and serves as a stunning entrance to it.
Not only are the food and beverages first-rate, but the inviting ambiance will have you coming back for more. The lighting is softer, and there are also smaller tables, creating a more intimate dining experience.
