For some people, a farmers’ market is the lazy person’s way to garden, a place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables without having to get your hands dirty.

“I was looking for a place that could keep up with me,” says Madeline Waldman.

“We get called a lot of things,” Nancy Lee Breece says with a hearty laugh about her group of friends who sew and share stories together. “But I guess we’re technically known as the Keystone Krafters.”
