Residents and staff embrace the history and culture of Middle Eastern dance Thursday, October 12, 2006
WARMINSTER, PA – Residents and staff at Ann’s Choice performed a Middle Eastern dance recital last week after months of studying the culture, food, music, and dance of several countries. The night was the culmination of a resident dance group that began in March. Led by Resident Life Director Diane Lasichak, the 22 residents who participated in the class studied the culture, dance movements, and interpretations of Middle Eastern dance forms in Greece, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, and Morocco.

WARMINSTER, PA – The dining services team at Ann’s Choice saw the opportunity to capitalize on Champions of Change and person-centered care initiatives by addressing the need for residents to be able help themselves to menu items in Banners Café. The R.E.A.C.H. program (Really Easy Approach to Carryout Handling) was created to address the issue of the design of the café’s refrigeration equipment that prevented residents from reaching many of the menu selections in the food cases. Team members included Chris Babst, Rebecca Nixon, Juanita Troutt, and Tim Deserable.
