THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Ann’s Choice, an Erickson retirement community in Warminster, announced this week that it will be opening its newest building, Maple terrace, to new residents May 1.
Officials from the community say that people will begin moving into the building this month. The announcement comes on the heels of the recent opening of Holly View, another residence building.
“It’s an exciting time here at Ann’s Choice,” Retirement Counselor Marie Dmoch says. “We are seeing a lot of people who are interested in moving here. Since we’ve opened the new Keystone Clubhouse and Holly View, we’ve really gotten people’s attention. The demand for these homes has gone through the roof.”
Demand and supply
Retirement Counselor Donna Donohue says Ann’s Choice waits until there is sufficient demand for new homes before they consider building. When there is a significant amount of requests, construction begins. “People are already starting to line up in hopes of getting a home here,” Donohue says. She says construction of the new homes started late last year but estimates that half have already been reserved.
“There was a great deal of interest in Holly View when it opened, and it already looks like Maple Terrace will be the same way,” she says. Donohue stresses that because of high demand, anyone interested in Maple Terrace should join the community’s Priority List if they are even considering a move. “It’s no commitment,” Donohue explains, “but a number of people have already reserved homes in Maple Terrace. So if you’re considering Ann’s Choice now or even down the road, the Priority List saves your place in line and gives you options when you’re ready to pick out a home.”
Location, location, location
By being located near Keystone Clubhouse, which opened late last year and houses many of the community’s amenities, the homes are just a quick walk from the Garden Room Restaurant, Acorn Pub, indoor swimming pool, performing arts theater, and fitness center.
