THE ERICKSON TRI BUNE
Ann’s Choice officials say that with the opening of their newest residence buildings in spring 2008, the campus will equal other full-grown Erickson communities in size and the scope of its amenities.
“This is unprecedented,” says Marie Dmoch, a retirement counselor at Ann’s Choice. “We only build on demand, so to reach this level after being open for just four years certainly speaks volumes. It means that people want to come here, and that once they’re here, they’re happy and engaged in life.”
A popular place
Not one of the other 19 Erickson communities—including Charlestown, Erickson’s flagship campus in Baltimore, Md.—has accomplished this feat faster.
Community officials announced earlier this year that the demand for homes at Ann’s Choice has been tremendous. On average, the community receives 1,100 requests for information and gives 200 tours of campus a month to people interested in moving there. This positive response was what prompted the decision to construct the newest buildings.
Dmoch anticipates reservations for the new residence buildings to be made at record pace. “We already have people asking about getting in,” she says. “At this point, if you like a certain style, there’s a good chance that five other people do too.”
Saving your spot
There is a way to ensure you get the home you want, according to Ann’s Choice Retirement Counselor Donna Donohue: joining the community’s Priority List, which reserves a person’s place in line for a new home.
She says, “If people are considering Ann’s Choice for today or for tomorrow, they should take a look at our free Information Kit and join the Priority List as soon as possible.”
