Ann’s Choice forced to add thirteenth residence building

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE

Ann’s Choice officials announced this past month that they will be constructing a new residence building in their third neighborhood. The new residence building will be the thirteenth at Ann’s Choice. The new building’s name has not yet been announced.

“We only build on demand and the 12 buildings before this sold out in record time,” Retirement Counselor Marie Dmoch says. “We expect this one should be just as popular. It’s lucky number thirteen,” she adds with a laugh.

Something to talk about
Ann’s Choice is already among the most popular of Erickson’s 18 retirement communities across the nation.

Dmoch says the response to the previous buildings prompted the decision to build the newest one. Over 95% of the completed homes are sold out and the community is averaging approximately 1,100 requests for information each month. Ann’s Choice also gives 200 tours of the community a month to those who are interested in moving.

“It was an opportunity to extend the Erickson lifestyle to more people and grow our family here,” Dmoch says. “The new building will be close to the Keystone Clubhouse and have a nice mix of floor plans.”

Making it possible
Community officials announced in January that the demand for homes at Ann’s Choice has been huge.

Dmoch says that like the previous buildings at Ann’s Choice, it’s likely that reservations for the new one will be made at a record pace. “If you’re considering Ann’s Choice, joining the Priority List is probably your best way to get the style of home that you want. If you like a certain style, there’s a good chance that five other people do, too,” she says.

Dmoch says that joining the Priority List reserves a person’s place in line and gives him or her the first right of refusal based on the date joined.

Saving your spot
“He who hesitates is lost,” Ann’s Choice Retirement Counselor Donna Donohue says. “Every day that someone waits to join the Priority List, one or two people jump ahead in line. If people are considering Ann’s Choice right now, or even years down the line, they should request our free Information Kit and join the Priority List as soon as possible.”

Donohue adds that some apartment styles have wait times of several years. “The Priority List is really your best option for getting the home you want,” she says.

Seeing is believing
When Ann’s Choice announced the opening of a third clubhouse this past year, it spurred interest. “It really got everyone’s attention,” Donohue says. “People love what they see when they tour the campus—from all of the conveniences to the friendly people. The word is definitely out on what a special place Ann’s Choice is.”

“People are joining fast,” Executive Director Joe LoCascio says of the Priority List. “There certainly is a growing demand.”

Ann’s Choice is located in Warminster, Pa., and advertises a well-manicured, maintenance-free lifestyle for working class retirees. Erickson communities all feature glass-enclosed, climate-controlled walkways connecting buildings to spacious clubhouses filled with restaurants, social clubs, and a variety of conveniences.
