THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Looking to go .500 for the first time after a 0-4 start, the Philadelphia Phillies got some extra luck from a large group of Ann’s Choice residents. Twenty five loyal fans from Ann’s Choice cheered their hometown Phillies, helping them beat the visiting Atlanta Braves 6-3 on May 4 at Citizens Bank Park.
“This was unusual because the Phillies always seem to lose when I go to a game,” cracked Richard DeKalb, who attended the game with his wife, Doris and the rest of the busload of Ann’s Choice Phillies fans. “This is the second year in a row that we’ve put together this trip with the help of Ann’s Choice, so it’s becoming an annual event. It was a great time and the weather was absolutely perfect.”
With no yard work to do thanks to the maintenance-free living that Ann’s Choice affords, the group was able to take in yet another exciting activity with the community’s doorto- door transportation service.
With clear skies and no worries about driving in traffic or parking, Richard says that type of convenient service is typical of the community’s first-rate commitment to carefree living.
“We’ve been on other Ann’s Choice trips going to Wildwood Crest and a ten day cruise to the southern Caribbean last January. They’re always a great time and Ann’s Choice goes out of their way to make it easy.”
More Time to Enjoy Yourself
Imagine having more time to enjoy ball games and other social events with people who share your zest for life all wrapped in a community where good times and activities have replaced the drudgery of maintaining a house.
“At Ann’s Choice we’re here to serve our residents. The ball game is something they wanted to do and we were only too happy to oblige them with transportation,” says Retirement Counselor Donna Donohue. “Activities like this go on all the time at Ann’s Choice. It’s an incredibly vibrant community where people have the freedom to do what they want, when they want.”
