A few years ago when Ann’s Choice was in the pre-development stages, Bob and Loretta Hall made a visit to the Welcome Center to see if it was the type of community they wanted to move to someday.

“We had heard good things about Ann’s Choice and since it was near our daughter and grandchildren, we thought it was worth checking out,” says Bob.

Bob said the staff had done a thorough job presenting all the benefits of Ann’s Choice. Then, all of a sudden they got some instant reaffirmation.

“A couple we knew also named ‘the Halls’ came out of a presentation next to us.We felt good knowing people we liked were interested, too.”

Perfectly located near the new Liberty Commons Clubhouse, the Halls’ new home is in Bartlett Run. All of these homes are in high demand because of their proximity to the performing arts center, putting green, TV studio, spa, and Signatures, the newest restaurant.

“We also have a huge balcony. We can sit out anytime and enjoy the courtyard and the whole neighborhood,” says Bob.

Moving On

The Halls were faced with the dilemma of moving to Ann’s Choice around the same time they took their annual vacation. “So we decided, ‘Why not do both!’” The Halls moved their belongings into their new Manchester (two bedrooms, two baths) apartment home, then went on vacation to New England and their shore home on Long Beach Island.

“It was pretty simple, actually,” says Bob. “For the first time we were able to go on vacation without worrying about someone watching our things. We have more freedom now than ever before.”

When the Halls returned to their new home they were refreshed and ready to start their new life. “We’ve been getting acclimated to the place pretty well,” says Bob. “We’ve been playing bridge and we just took a music class which was excellent. There was a local professor here teaching classical music. I learned more about classical music than I ever knew before.”

While the Halls enjoy music and play CDs “almost around the clock,” they also take pride in Loretta’s German heritage. “There’s actually a German club here,” says Bob. “It’s good to meet people who share our interests.”

Why Ann’s Choice?

With so many options these days, why did the Halls choose Ann’s Choice?

“There are many reasons,” says Bob. “We like the whole set up of the place. There’s plenty to do, the people are nice, and we like that we can do almost anything we want without going outside.”

The Halls believe having everything under one roof is the way to go.

“We don’t have to worry about maintaining a lawn or fixing something. And when it’s cold or rainy out all we have to do is walk down the hall to dine at a great restaurant,” says Bob. “If our friends lived in a community with individual houses they would have to get in their cars and drive somewhere in the rain for dinner. Chances are they’ll just stay home and open up a can of beans.

“By living at Ann’s Choice our quality of life is so much better than that. We couldn’t have made a better choice.”
