THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
After living in the same house for 53 years, Evelyn Hirsch, from Cedar Grove, N.J., wasn’t about to move to just anywhere. “I wanted a community that had a lot of potential,” she says. “I wanted a place that felt like home.”
So Evelyn started researching communities. If the communities sounded like something that appealed to her, she paid a visit.
“I had heard a lot about Erickson communities. So I stopped by and it was very nice,” Evelyn says. “Then I wondered if all Erickson campuses were that nice and decided to visit as many as I could.”
In total, Evelyn visited five Erickson communities: Seabrook in New Jersey; Ann’s Choice in Pennsylvania; and Charlestown, Oak Crest, and Riderwood in Maryland.
Ann’s Choice—My New Home
After carefully evaluating the different communities, Evelyn chose Ann’s Choice and recently moved into a Hamilton home design—an extra-large corner home with one-and-ahalf baths.
“There was just something about Ann's Choice,” Evelyn says. “It was a feeling that I belonged. It's not far from my kids and grandchildren. Plus, the people and staff are fantastic. I encourage anyone to come to Pennsylvania and tour Ann’s Choice yourself.”
Evelyn points out that Ann’s Choice is one of Erickson’s newer communities. It seems more spread out and “airy.” Just like hernew home.
“I’m on the fifth floor with a large bay window in the living room, a window in the kitchen, and another in my bedroom,” Evelyn says. “The whole place is light and airy. I love the sun and the unique layout of the design.”
With three grown kids, one in Boston and two in North Jersey, plus five grandchildren, Evelyn feels moving to Pennsylvania isn’t too far away.
“They’ve already visited me here and really like it,” she says. “I know my money is protected, too, with the risk-free deposit, which is a nice feeling. Plus, my family doesn’t have to worry aboutme if I get sick. I’m in good hands.”
