Ann’s Choice, an Erickson retirement community  in Bucks County, Pa., announced this week that its third neighborhood of homes is now complete and open. The neighborhood has been under construction for the past couple of years and is now accepting residents in all of its buildings.

“The time has flown,” says Ann’s Choice Executive Director Joe LoCascio. “It’s been years in the making, but we couldn’t be happier with the way things have turned out. Th e homes are beautiful. And this latest neighborhood is truly great because it is in the heart of all the action—every home is a short trip to the Garden Room Restaurant, the Acorn Pub, an indoor swimming pool, a  performing arts theatre, or a fitness center, and a quick walk to the campus chapel.”

A birds’ eye view
Jon and Caroline Katherine live in the neighborhood’s Bayberry Grove residence building. Th e couple moved there last June and has witnessed the progress. “It’s almost been a year, but it’s flown by—it only seems like a month. We’ve been having a blast,” Jon Katherine says.

The couple says joining the community’s Priority List was the reason they got the home style they wanted. “We joined the Priority List, and it made life easy,” he says. “It got us an excellent view of the park and the clubhouse. You can see everything.”

Of the third neighborhood, he adds, “Really, it’s in the center of everywhere you want to go. It’s really wellsituated. We love everything it offers, and our grandchildren love the pool.”

The couple says they generally dine in the Keystone Clubhouse’s Garden Room Restaurant and really enjoy all of the conveniences the clubhouse offers. “It has just about everything you need, and I’m really looking forward to the pharmacy moving in.”

Relieving or creating demand?
When the two newest buildings in the neighborhood, Holly View and Maple Terrace, first opened in early 2008, they helped meet the demand of Priority List members, people who have already reserved their place at the community.

But the opening has now stirred up even more demand. Ann’s Choice Retirement Counselor Marie Dmoch says, “The openings helped relieve some of the pent up demand for homes here, but now we are seeing a lot of people who are just hearing about Ann’s Choice and want to move in too.”

“There are plenty of people who want to move in,” Jon and Caroline Katherine say. “We saw that firsthand and now, when all of our friends hear about [Ann’s Choice], they are already interested.”

Interest in Ann’s Choice has remained brisk. Officials report that the community sees approximately 1,100 requests for information each month and gives almost 200 tours a month to those who are interested in moving there.

Retirement Counselor Donna Donohue says, “Most of that traffic is coming  from the interest in this third neighborhood. There is a great deal of interest in Holly View, and now Maple Terrace is just as popular.”

Donohue says, “A number of people have reserved homes in Maple Terrace, and a good deal more have already joined our Priority List for an opportunity to reserve their place in Holly View.

“Surprisingly,” she says, “a few of our more popular styles remain available, but I’m not sure for how long.”

News you can use
Dmoch says the moving season should spur interest further and gives advice to those who are considering Ann’s Choice: “We only build upon customer demand so we’re suggesting that if you want to get into this third neighborhood or are considering Ann’s Choice for your future, you should join the community’s Priority List now.

“It lets us know you’re interested and saves your place in line,” she explains. “Should you choose to move here, it also lets you get the home style you really want.”
