KB ToysGrandparents collectively spend about $30 billion per year on grandchildren. Of that $30 billion, 38 percent is spent on toys, according to statistics compiled by Erickson Retirement Communities, the developer and manager of Sedgebrook.

In a recent interview Geoffrey Webb of KB Toys told The Erickson Tribune that grandparents are the driving force of toy sales in the holiday season. He also discuses KB Toys’ innovative new Grandparents Rewards Program, where membership is free and allows all grandparents to receive a ten percent discount on all toy purchases at KB Toys’ across the country.
